Syncplicity LLC announced a universal Microsoft Corp.'s Outlook add-in for Microsoft Office 365, empowering users to share files from Outlook regardless of platform or device.
This Outlook add-in fits into enterprise user workflows and combines the value of firm's file sharing - real-time back-up, enterprise security and no file size restrictions - with a reduction in the IT infrastructure and administrative costs associated with email attachments.
The Outlook add-in only needs to be installed once, and then it is available across supported devices on any platform or operating system that runs Office 365. With a click or a tap, users turn even the largest attachments into links with enhanced security by company's hybrid enterprise cloud, saving time and increasing both productivity and security. IT departments control data leakage by configuring firm's policies such as link expiration, password protection and file-level rights management, for different user groups depending on content security and collaboration requirements.
"Syncplicity's goal is to help enterprises become truly digital workplaces by empowering users to be more productive, and because Office 365 is a popular choice for large enterprises, the new Syncplicity Outlook add-in does just that," said Jon Huberman, CEO, Syncplicity. "We're excited to work with Microsoft to continue offering innovative solutions for the digital enterprise. This new feature strengthens the Syncplicity user experience and reduces the infrastructure costs typically created by large email attachments, while giving organizations more control over the security of their content."
As a member of Microsoft's Cloud Storage Partner Program, the company works with Microsoft to develop integrations between the two companies' products that simplify business collaboration across Web and mobile. This add-in gives users more secure access to files while composing emails on Windows, Mac, iOS and Android, whether in a desktop application or on a mobile device.
"We are pleased to have Syncplicity join the Cloud Storage Partner Program. Together, we are making it easier for joint users to work with Office documents no matter where they're stored," said Rob Howard, director, Office 365 ecosystem, Microsoft.
