One of the main pillars of Syncplicity’s enterprise file sync and share solution is data protection. We continue to push data protection by developing new capabilities and by expanding our ecosystem of partners to ensure that enterprise users have the ability to seamlessly and securely protect more and more of their content across all of their devices – mobile, web, and desktop.
To further enhance data protection on mobile devices, we are proud to announce partnerships with leading EMM vendors – AirWatch and MobileIron.
Syncplicity is joining the App Configuration for Enterprise (ACE), an open-standards approach to building management and security features into enterprise apps. ACE standards make it possible for app developers to create a single app version that is compatible across EMM systems. Organizations will be able to leverage AirWatch’s EMM solution to provision the Syncplicity app, configure policy controls, and manage app life cycles. This will be available to our customers towards the end of June.
Syncplicity is also partnering with leading EMM vendor MobileIron to deliver management and security capabilities with the introduction of the Syncplicity App for MobileIron. With a single management console, IT organizations can provision apps securely, configure and enforce policy controls, manage app life cycles, and containerize corporate apps to protect business data. The Syncplicity mobile app for MobileIron is part of the AppConnect ecosystem that enables enterprises to have greater mobile security.
Syncplicity’s new user-provisioning APIs help customers rapidly bring more data under management and consequently deliver greater protection and control. The new APIs enable organizations to simplify and automate user/group provisioning, and policy configurations. To make it easy for in-house developers to integrate their processes with Syncplicity, our developer portal provides interactive documentation allowing users to create and test applications. Our developer portal also provides sample apps for developers to quickly get started.
Syncplicity's multi-folder sync allows users to turn any folder on their desktop into a sync folder ensuring real-time data protection. And today, that protection is further expanded with Silent On-boarding. IT can now ensure that users’ special folders (Desktop, Documents, Favorites, Music, and Pictures) and custom folders (e.g. Product Releases, Price Sheets, Presentations) are always synchronized, without any user involvement. With Silent On-boarding, organizations have the ability to protect the content that matters to them the most.
